HOPE FARM - A CENTURY OF CHANGE
In 1870. Alphonse Perrin was anxious to find a tract of land where he could establish a farm and raise his family. After several months of searching, he located and purchased 504 acres of grassland located in the fork of the Salado Creek, 9 1/2 miles northeast of the growing town of San Antonio. Symbolizing his faith in what the future held for himself and his family, he decided to name his property Hope Farm.
