Polley Mansion aka Whitehall – Restoration Work
In 2016, the Polley Mansion aka Whitehall was named to the Preservation Texas Most Endangered Places List. In 2018, the Polley Mansion received the Preservation Texas Honors Award for the restoration work done on the property.
The Polley Mansion aka Whitehall is being lovingly and meticulously restored by Keith and Robin Muschalek with help from members of the community and donations.
Restoration work is ongoing. There are several big projects scheduled for 2019 to include:
1) Reconstruction of the rear porch (using 1936 photos);
2) Re-wiring of the mansion under modern NEC codes;
3) New T&G floor for dining room (which was removed in the middle 1990's.
