Background Information: At the request of Charles Porter, St. Edwards University, a daub sample from the jacal outbuilding at the Blas Herrera House in Bexar County, Texas, was examined by Frances Gale. The outbuilding is thought to date from the 1830s. The goal of the examination was to document materials used in the jacal daub. Read more.
